Video doorbells seem to be all the rage at the moment with the success of the Ring Doorbell but these are expensive.
The Esicam door wireless video doorbell is an option that would suit those on a budget. With 166 Degree Wide Angle and 720p video quality, you can clearly see who is at your door. You can also use an SD card to save a log of people that have called while your out.
The doorbell arrived well packaged and the instructions were simple to understand. A few points for people to note, the doorbell isn’t waterproof so is only suitable for people that have a porch or indoor use. The device uses 18650 batteries which in the UK would need to be ordered specifically as I’ve not been able to find the size in any local high street shop.
After getting the doorbell set up it was simple to use, I did have an issue where the doorbell kept dropping the connection but I found this was down to the wifi signal in the area, once I’d repositioned the device this issue was resolved.
As with most things in life you get what you pay for but for those on a budget it gets the job done.
