Space Youth Project Funds boost

Space Youth Project recently benefited from a £4,000 pound gift from the Dorset Lesbian and gay helpline who gave a gift of £4,000 to the Dorset Based Youth group. Spokesperson Ryan Cleminson said in a statement that:

“We are delighted to have received such a large donation from DLGH and the money is going to be a big help towards securing the funding we need to operate the youth groups.

The situation for Space Youth Project is that they need the money to be able to run a Bournemouth based youth group to compliment groups in Poole, Weymouth, Christchurch and the newly formed group in Ferndown,

I would like to invite council to talks about the idea of “fund matching”, It is quite a simple proposal where we set a target of what we think we can raise realistically and then the council award us with a sum of money matching what we have raised, for example if we raise twenty thousand pounds then the council would pledge to give us the same. It is an initiative that works extremely well in other areas of the region. I would plead to the council to look at the proposals.
