In the charming cult film The Wizard of Oz, based on the popular L. Frank Baum stories, Dorothy and her dog Toto are caught in a tornado’s path and somehow end up in the land of Oz. Here she meets some memorable friends and foes in her journey to meet the Wizard of Oz who everyone says can help her return home and possibly grant her new friends their goals of a brain, heart and courage. Audience members can enjoy a lively and energetic evening with lots of singing and dancing in the aisles, and can even come dressed as their favourite character from the film.
Light House Communications Coordinator Lindsay Wiggin said, “We are looking forward to welcoming Shout Festival to Wolverhampton with this unique event which should be great fun…so get ready to follow the yellow brick road with Judy Garland and the hilarious Barbara Nice!”
