The Rainbow Chorus has just started a new term and this year they have the tremendously exciting opportunity to perform at the once every four year event event Various Voices which will take place Friday 1st May to Monday 4th May 2009 at the Southbank Centre in London to celebrate Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender identity through song and to showcase on an international stage to the achievements and diversity of LGBT choirs of Europe and around the world at every level.
The Rainbow Chorus is planning on putting on a great show and that’s where you come in. The Rainbow Chorus is looking for new members and especially men to join us at both of these events. 2008 has been a successful year for ‘The Rainbow Chorus’. Performances included the launch of the Sunday opening at the Jubilee Library, Brighton, the opening of the Brighton Fringe Festival with a stunning and moving performance of Poulenc’s ‘Gloria’, participating at the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Interphobia and Transphobia event and three performances alongside Tina C in the Udderbelly Venue. The rainbow Chorus also performed as a guest choir during the World Aids Day concert in Brighton.
