Pride London launches 2 new campaigns

‘Love Without Borders’

‘Tackling Transphobia and Homophobia’

Wed 5th November 2009 – 8pm – Quebec Bar

Pride London with support from Age Concern Camden launches two new campaigns:

Love Without Borders and Tackling Transphobia and Homophobia

Love Without Borders will focus on LGBT issues around the world, specifically Commonwealth countries like Jamaica, Uganda and Sri Lanka. London has held Pride events for nearly 40 years but it is a basic human right that LGBT people around the World are able to live and to express themselves freely without fear of hatred and discrimination.

Tackling Transphobia and Homophobia will focus on hate crime in the UK. After the recent tragic events in Trafalgar Square and Kentish Town our community needs to come together and show solidarity and tackle this problem head on.

If you would like to donate to the campaigns then you can do so via our existing website. All funds will go towards research, gaining accurate and up to date information, Campaign strategies and media coverage, plus also ensuring that the profile of LGBT rights is high on all the political agendas.
