The deadline for Community Groups and charities to submit an application for free tickets to this year’s Preston Park event was Friday 27th May.
25 groups applied on behalf of their service users and members including Lunch Positive, Allsorts Youth Project, MindOut, Terrence Higgins Trust, The Sussex Beacon, The Gay Elderly Men’s Society, LGBT Switchboard and The Sussex ME Society to name but a few.
Pride is delighted to announce that through the free community ticket scheme it has already donated approximately £13,000 to local charities and community groups.
Russell Allen, Pride Chair says ‘We have been very pleased with the response from community groups and the feedback we have received. Pride is committed to supporting the local LGBT community; this is just the first step. We are fortunate that we have some of the country’s leading LGBT charities and community groups right on our doorstep, they provide an invaluable service to their regular users and supporters. We are grateful that they have helped us to reach some of the most vulnerable LGBT people in our community who can now attend the Preston Park event on Saturday 13th August and celebrate.’
Tickets are still on sale priced at £12.50 for adults, £8.50 under 18’s and all under 12’s are free (when booked with an adult ticket) via Ticketline:
