Sarah Brown, the wife of the prime minister Gordon Brown made a surprise guest appearance at the Duckie gay club night in Vauxhall, South London last weekend.
Making a surprise appearance at South London’s Royal Vauxhall Tavern, she was joined on stage by the club’s host, Amy Lame.
Brown’s well-timed appearance co-incided with the thirteenth anniversary of Labour’s rise to power. She reminded audience members that it was the Labour government who equalised the age of consent for homosexuals and implemented civil partnerships.
She also stated that she “wanted to celebrate with people all that their activism has achieved since 1997.”
She drew the winning ticket for a raffle, which incidentally was a pink Number 10.
