Peterborough charity manager takes on Great North Run in aid of Terrence Higgins Trust

Huw is taking on the iconic race to show his commitment to ensuring support is available for those in the East of England who have HIV.

Huw Williams, Manager of Terrence Higgins Trust’s Peterborough Centre, said: “Last time I fundraised for Terrence Higgins Trust, I did it by going through the ordeal of getting a red ribbon tattooed onto my arm – so this year, I decided to swap one kind of pain for another! It’s the first time I’ve ever run, so it’s been out with the junk food and late nights and in with the jogging gear and gym sessions.

“All the staff, volunteers and clients at the centre have been really supportive, if somewhat disbelieving, of my plans to run 13 miles on Sunday!”

Huw will set off for his half-marathon mission on Sunday 16th September from Gateshead. To sponsor Huw, please visit:
