The role will involve the development of and day to day operation of the new Health & Wellbeing Centre to be opening in 2012, and will managing a growing Health and Wellbeing Programme for Birmingham LGBT. The aim of the centre and the programme will be to address health inequalities, to promote wellbeing across the LGBT community in Birmingham, and to provide a community hub and resource through the LGBT Health and Wellbeing Centre.
Commenting on the appointment, Matt Daniels, Chair of Birmingham LGBT Board of Management states “We are delighted with David’s appointment as Health and Wellbeing Manager for Birmingham LGBT. David has built up a strong reputation for high quality work and he’s done a huge amount for Birmingham’s LGBT Sector over the past few years. We’re really excited about him taking on this new role, and I speak on behalf of the rest of the Board and our Director, Steph Keeble in saying that we’re looking forward to working closely with him as plans unfold over the coming few years.’
