Lady GaGa’s new music video for ‘Alejandro’, is a “celebration and an admiration of gay love”, says the singer.
Just last week the performer filmed a promo for her latest ‘Fame Monster’ single with photographer Steven Klein, with the video due to premiere soon.
When asked about the themes and ideas behind the clip, GaGa said the video is about the “purity of my friendships with my gay friends and how I’ve been unable to find that with a straight man in my life.
“It’s a celebration and an admiration of gay love – it confesses my envy of the courage and bravery they require to be together,” the ‘Bad Romance’ singer added to The Times.
“In the video I’m pining for the love of my gay friends – but they just don’t want me.”
Last week it was reported that GaGa has helped Greyson Chance get a record deal after she was blown away by the youngster’s ‘Paparazzi’ cover.
