Lady GaGa is training to become a minister in order to perform marriages for her gay fans, according to reports.
The singer is hoping to be ordained in California following the state’s rejection of legislation banning gay marriages.
Heat says that the 24-year-old has already taken an online course and is preparing to complete paperwork to become a fully qualified minister.
GaGa has previously vocalised her opposition to Proposition 8, which ruled against same-sex unions in California. After the state law was overturned on August 4, GaGa told her Twitter followers that the event had inspired her to write music.
She wrote: “BUBBLE DREAMS FOREVER! FULL EQUALITY! THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING!”
